Aris Affairs Photography talks about posing for your engagement photos in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, can artistically capture engagement photos that you will be proud to share.

An engagement photo session is a sweet way to introduce the path to your wedding. Aris Affairs Photography offers tips to help soon-to-be-brides be camera-ready and perfectly comfortable for your engagement photo shoot in Prescott.

Your shoulders: As you are posing for a still photograph, deliberately lower your shoulders slightly. When people are not relaxed they are often unaware that they've unconsciously raised their shoulders. Dropping your shoulders slightly will result in you looking much more relaxed.

Position your head: By practicing in a mirror at home beforehand, notice which position of your head brings out your best features and minimizes those areas that are not your favorite. Is your down-cast head reminiscent of Princess Diana or did it just give birth to a double-chin? Most of us do have a 'best side'. Find your best side and turn that side slightly toward the camera.

Arch your back: Even a slight slouch can add years to your look. Slouching, whether in pictures or real life, does nothing for our appearance, so you do not want to be caught slouching for your engagement shoot. To avoid slouching, strive to arch your back slightly throughout the session. Not only will it be age-reducing but you'll appear tall, poised and confident.

Your arms: First of all, relax. When people are nervous, we tend to keep our arms very close to our body and that does not generally translate well in a picture. Practice holding your arms away from your body by at least six inches.

Your smile: Above all, practice a natural smile or a relaxed laugh. It might feel like a completely contrived pose, but on camera there's nothing better than a relaxed, smiling expression.
Remember to have fun!!

Aris Affairs Photography hopes these tips will help you create engagement photos that you will be proud to share. Aris Affairs Photography offers tips for your multi-generation family photo session in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can create heirloom multi-generation family photos to capture your memories.
Multi-generation family photos are a wonderful way to capture a very special moment. They are a unique way to view the passage of time in your family, as well as an opportunity to create a memory with children and their grandparents or great-grandparents. These photos often become a cherished keepsake that passes down through your family for generations. Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, wants to share with you some of our favorite ideas for these treasured photo sessions.

Choose an Activity

Finding a favorite activity that the whole family shares, such as fishing or hiking, can be a way of incorporating storytelling into your pictures. Anything that the grandkids and grandparents share will give the children something to look back on and remember when they are older.

Activities are a great way to keep everyone engaged and create candid photos that capture your family in their best moments. This is especially true of the little ones who lose interest in standing or sitting in one place for extended periods.

Don’t Forget the Little Things
While posing for a picture may be the best way to get the whole family in one shot, it is not usually the best way to capture the depth of emotion and love that everyone feels for each other. Be sure to take photos that pick up on the little things like holding hands, laughing, or out-takes. These little things are the essence that is unique to your family.

Multi-generational portraits are all about creating memories that tell the story of your family. They will be shared and held dear long after loved ones have passed on. Remember to have fun with them and be yourself. If you are in search of a photographer for your next family photo session in Prescott, contact Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049 or visit us online http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, shares why photographs matter

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can create stunning family photos that will be a legacy for the next generation.
Have you ever stumbled onto an old photograph to find that it triggered memories and details long forgotten? Do photographs of your newborns rekindle those days for you despite the decades that have passed? Prescott family photographer, Aris Affairs Photography, illuminates some of the reasons that photographs matter so much to us.

Our photographs define us

“Our photographs” is one of the most common answers when people are asked what would they rescue from their burning home, if they had time and everyone, both human and animal, were safe. Notice that pictures are more likely to be grabbed before other valuables like jewelry. It seems pictures have a great hold on us. When we are faced with losing everything, it is our pictures, our history, our precious memories that we strive to protect and preserve. Birthdays, holidays, family, new homes, marriages and babies are recorded because they matter; because they're important. They define us. They provide a timeline, the story of our lives.

Photographs are a part of the legacy we leave
It probably doesn't occur to most that as a picture is taken, it will probably outlast everyone - from the one who took it to whoever is being photographed. A generation or two may pass as someone is shuffling through some old papers when they stumble across a stack of photographs. They find the never-before seen image of their once-young grandparents or mom and dad. There they may discover a photo of the house where they were born or someone's first car. Photographs which may have little importance or significance at the time they're taken can be a priceless treasure years later as they reveal someone’s legacy.

Photographs allow us to communicate
How many pictures do you upload to Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook? They communicate our interests, our loves, our priorities. They communicate what we think is beautiful and interesting. They communicate our creative genius. They are more than a record. They communicate our life.

Photographs tell our story, leave a legacy and communicate our best self to others. Prescott family photographer, Aris Affairs Photography, can help you accomplish all three. If you have an important event coming up, a special day or just want a record of your beautiful life today, call us at 928-642-4049. Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, shares tips on photographing newborns with their siblings

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can capture your growing family with newborn/sibling photos.Photographing your newborn baby with their brand new big brother(s) or sister(s) for a photoshoot may come with a few challenges. Aris Affairs Photography offers some tips that can really help make your Prescott photo shoot enjoyable for everyone.

A key factor in getting siblings to cooperate in your newborn/sibling session is to give them choices. Since beautiful, natural and non-posed images are often the most treasured, siblings who feel forced to do anything may respond by doing the exact opposite of what you want them to do.
Most siblings are more cooperative at the beginning of the shoot, so that's a great time to get their shots done. By photographing them first, you may be circumventing any jealousy issues over the new baby.

Timing

If a sibling isn't quite up for it, it's okay to let them go into another area and come back when they're ready. In the meantime, your photographer can take pictures of the other siblings, your newborn and even mom and dad. You might find that the attention given to the other siblings will draw the reluctant one back to the action. Pressuring a child to return might get them back but their resentment may very well find its way into your pictures, which no one wants. Having a conversation with them prior to the shoot and showing them how much it means to you to include them can go a long way toward preparing them for the event.

Don’t forget safety

Here are a few ways to keep everyone safe:

  • With mom and dad on the sofa or bed, they can remain out of frame and still watch out for the baby’s safety.
  • Include mom and dad in the pictures with the younger siblings and toddlers.
  • Take advantage of the older, stronger siblings who can safely hold the baby while mom and dad are watching out for the toddlers.
  • Swaddle the baby for extra protection and make him or her a little easier to hold.
  • Include pillows to pose your baby while the rest of the siblings gather themselves around him or her.

That’s it! A little preparation, a little safety, a newborn, some siblings and mom and dad - and beautiful photos at the end of it all! Are you ready to book a newborn/sibling session?
