Aris Affairs Photography, professional photographer in Prescott, shares romantic marriage proposal ideas

Aris Affairs Photography, professional photographer in Prescott, can capture your romantic marriage proposal.Wondering how to pop the question? If you're planning a Prescott wedding but haven't let your loved one in on it yet, Aris Affairs Photography offers some romantic proposal ideas.

We recommend putting your own spin on one of these thoughtful and creative marriage proposal suggestions.

  • Choose her favorite place, whether it's kayaking on the lake or enjoying a favorite restaurant. Once you're there (and she says 'Yes!') ask someone nearby to take some pics of you together.

  • Get in touch with the stage manager of your favorite theatre production and arrange to propose on stage after the cast's curtain call.

  • Set up a surprise proposal with a street caricaturist at a local event. Arrange for the caricaturist to sketch a picture of the two of you with word bubbles that read, "Will you marry me?" and "Yes!"

  • Send your unsuspecting, but trusting, fiance-to-be on a treasure hunt that ends with you on bended knee. Begin with a mysterious clue that starts at her place and leads her to all of your favorite spots together.

  • Go out for a fun night of dancing and arrange for the DJ to pass you the microphone giving you the opportunity to publicly dedicate a song to her, and then you can propose on the dance floor.

  • Take out a large ad in the local newspaper; then pick the perfect spot to share a relaxing morning of catching up on all the news.

  • Make sure your fiance-to-be is listening to her favorite radio station while you call in and propose on the air.

No matter how you pop the question, remember that the most memorable proposals are the ones that are truly personal and reflect your relationship. If you want to make the event even more memorable, hire a professional photographer. Aris Affairs Photography, professional wedding photographer in Prescott, can help you make your proposal one you'll never forget as well as provide you with beautiful engagement and wedding photos. Aris Affairs Photography offers ideas for a non-traditional wedding in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography can expertly capture your non-traditional wedding in Prescott.
Are you after a wedding that is totally non-traditional, not “by the book” at all? Aris Affairs Photography offers these Ideas for your unique wedding in Prescott.

The old, traditional wedding rules have been thrown out the window, right? You can get married at any stage, at any age and in any style you want to. Times have certainly changed. Not sure of just what changes from the status quo you want to apply? Consider these options:

  • Change to an unusual wedding venue. Most people expect a church wedding, but jaws might hit the floor (hopefully, in the best way possible) when guests realize your wedding at an art studio, at a beautiful local park, or at a trendy local wine bar.
  • Your wedding can even be a surprise! You could tell everyone that you are hosting a family dinner or picnic to draw everyone to be at your location on the specified date and time. Just ask them to dress for the occasion. When they arrive, that’s when you or your DJ will announce that this is your pop-up wedding! This is a great way to break traditions without breaking the bank.
  • The smaller the cake, the more affordable, and you might consider a smaller cake, decorating it with ribbon or flowers.
  • You still need a professional photographer! This is one area where you should not cut corners. Hire a photographer that will be creative and capture the unique moments of your unusual venue and the special details of your important day! They will be memories you will cherish forever.

Aris Affairs Photography hopes these Ideas for a non-traditional wedding in Prescott are inspiring. To capture those moments of your special day and freeze them in time so you can enjoy them forever, call your professional wedding photographer, Aris Affairs Photography, at 928-642-4049. Aris Affairs Photography shares tips for Fall family photos in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography can create epic family photos at your Fall photo shoot in Prescott.
Soon the monsoons will be over and Fall will be right around the corner. Aris Affairs Photography thinks the Fall is a great time to take advantage of Prescott's natural beauty and the perfect opportunity to begin the holiday season with a family photo shoot.

Here are a few great ideas for capturing family fun in the Fall:

Playing in the leaves
What's better than playing in the leaves! You'll have a ton of fun and it's one of the easiest ways for your photographer to capture candid shots of the whole family.

Strolling among beautiful fall colors
Depending on the time of day and lighting conditions, you'll find Fall's ever-changing palette of greens, reds and yellows a beautiful backdrop for you and your spouse or you and the whole family to enjoy a lovely, leisurely stroll together.

Invite the pumpkins
It's not fall without a few pumpkins. Newborns, young babies and toddlers are especially adorable surrounded by a friendly stack of pumpkins.

Take advantage of our woods
With trees abounding in and around Prescott, the woods are a great place to create some rustic, earthy shots especially in stands of trees that have turned their brilliant fall colors.

Dress
By wearing muted, neutral soft colors, it will allow you and the beautiful scenery to be front and center instead of your clothing. Add some great accessories like knitted caps, scarves and tall boots to finish off your outfits.

Summer will soon be over and Prescott's trees will be changing color. Capture the beauty of autumn and call Aris Affairs Photography to schedule your Fall family photo shoot. To schedule your photo session, call Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049 or visit our galleries online at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography recommends a shot list for your photo session in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography can help you capture all the right memories at your Prescott photo session.
A photographer may be able to make a photo session seem like a carefree exercise, but there is a lot of work that goes into planning that experience. The best way to make sure you get everything you want from a photo session is to have a shot list and share it with your photographer. Aris Affairs Photography would like to give you some ideas for your shot list before your Prescott photo session.

Must Haves
These would be the shots that are necessary to tell the story. A family shoot would probably need one shot with the whole family, for instance. A wedding will need one of the first kiss. Make sure to write down these shots so your photographer will make sure to get them all.

Details
The detail shots aren’t necessary for the story, but they help to flesh it out and spark memories. A shot of the centerpieces or the tennis shoes won’t be missed if they aren’t in the album, but having them makes the album so much better. You may also include close-ups of people or wide-angle shots of the whole event in this category.

Extras
These are exactly what the name implies. You may not know if Uncle Harry will start dancing, but if it happens, you’ll want the photographer to know it should be captured. Share with your photographer the kinds of photos you’d like if conditions allow for it. This will help direct them on where to be looking for the perfect shot.

Aris Affairs Photography wants you to have all the special photos of your event that you were hoping for. Having a shot list makes this possible. To schedule your photo session in Prescott, call Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049. Visit our gallery and learn more at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography offers tips on professional portraits for your Prescott business

Aris Affairs Photography can create a professional portrait for your Prescott business and help you stand out from the crowd.
Not all portrait poses should be the same. Aris Affairs Photography shares some tips on professional portraits for your Prescott business.

There are some essentials that need to be considered when it comes to portraits for your business. Let’s start with the basics:

Good posture.
It is important to keep an eye on your posture. Those being photographed need to check their back and shoulders for posture. Slouching affects the portrait, even if it is only a head and shoulders shot. Good posture will help keep the subject looking sharp and professional. After all, these portraits will be for professional use.

Watch the chin.
In considering posture, it’s important to focus on the chin. In many cases the chin will be up too high. This causes the subject to look down at the camera. The resulting portrait shows too much of the neck, and the facial features look small in comparison. The chin should move down just a bit. However, take care to avoid a double chin from forming by the chin being held too low.

Be comfortable.
Nothing loosens up a photo subject more than getting involved in some kind of action that is compatible with the subject’s profession. It should correspond to their branding, be it welding, office work or dance instruction.

Chat.
Talk about your business, your children, your vacations, or any topic that is fun and light. This will help facial expressions to be natural and relaxed.

Aris Affairs Photography hopes our tips on professional portraits for your Prescott business are inspiring to you. The best way to get a great portrait is with a creative professional photographer. Aris Affairs Photography would love to capture the best portraits possible. Schedule your photo session today by calling 928-642-4049. Visit our gallery at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, shares tips for great pet photos

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can capture amazing photos of your pets.
We photograph the people and places we love, so of course we photograph our pets! But taking an Instagram-worthy photo of a hyper animal can be difficult. They may not be avoiding the camera like people do, but they definitely aren’t posing for it either. Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, has some tips to get great shots of your pets.

Use Treats
Maybe this one is a no-brainer, but animals love food and won’t take their eyes off a treat if it's in front of them. Use that to your advantage and hold the snacks next to the lens or wherever you want them to be looking.

Use Props
Put your puppy in a bowl or your hamster in a tube. Props help pose the animal and give the photo a sense of action and variety. Plus, having a toy just might make them sit still for the length of a shutter click.

Dress Up
Don’t roll your eyes, there’s nothing cuter than an animal in a costume and you know it. You don’t need to go to any extremes here, just put your glasses on your dog or have your cat wear a bow tie. It’s never not going to be cute.

Use Natural Light
This isn’t just for pets either. Natural light is always going to be better for photos than a camera flash. So turn off the flash and open a window. Don’t go too crazy though, full sunlight can be just as difficult as a flash.

Get In There Yourself
Your pet is yours, so photos are going to be more interesting if you are in them, too. It highlights the family aspect of having a pet even if your face isn’t shown.

The best way to get a great shot of your best friends, though, is with a professional photographer. Aris Affairs Photography loves freezing moments in time between you and your pets. Schedule your pet or family photo session in Prescott today by calling 928-642-4049. Visit our gallery at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography offers ideas for wedding ring photos at your Prescott wedding

Aris Affairs Photography can create stunning photos to capture the precious memories at your Prescott wedding.
Every couple wants to get special photos of their rings. This can include spontaneous photos during the engagement, as well as posed images at the wedding. Aris Affairs Photography offers some creative ideas for wedding ring photos at your Prescott wedding.

Professional wedding photographers are becoming more creative and coming up with new and fresh ideas for engagement and wedding photos. Here are some great ideas for ring photos:

  • Pictures of the rings on hands. Let’s start with the traditional and classical type of photos that still allow for a lot of innovation and inspiration. The white wedding dress provides a soft, flowing and elegant background for photos of rings on the hands of the bride and groom. The rings and background look very harmonious together.
  • Rings and nature. Are you a couple that loves the outdoors? Use natural backgrounds for pictures of your rings. There is nothing quite like a photo of rings on a beautiful leaf. Or, get photos of your rings on one of the posts on a dock against the background of your favorite lake. Or, perhaps even on the sand of a beach. It can be meaningful to take wedding rings photographs where the newlyweds met, or the place of their engagement.
  • Wedding cake and champagne. Take ring photos on the elegant wedding cake. Or, how about using the glasses of champagne, the bottle and the cork as a background for the rings? The simple cork will emphasize the beauty of the shining rings.
  • Rings very close up. Take creative wedding ring shots up close, using a simple background like a glass surface, or a marble countertop to attract all the attention to the rings.

Aris Affairs Photography hopes these ideas for wedding ring photos at your Prescott wedding will inspire you. Your engagement and wedding days are special times. Capture the excitement and joy with photos to remember those moments for the rest of your life. Choose the right photographer for your engagement and wedding. If you are getting married in Prescott, call Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049 or visit us online at http://www.arisaffairs.com to learn how we can make your engagement and wedding even more memorable.

Aris Affairs Photography discusses using natural light for outdoor photos in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography can create stunning photos of all your special events in Prescott.
Outdoor photography provides some of the most stunning settings. The right backdrop can take you to serene, exotic, or even mystical places without leaving your city. And the best part, a beautiful picture gives you a great story to tell your friends and family. With all of its benefits, outdoor photography can be a real challenge - even for professionals. Aris Affairs Photography shares a few tricks to get great outdoor photos in Prescott.

Before we discuss the tricks, it is necessary to understand why lighting matters. Bright, direct sunlight creates shadows on our faces. These shadows are fine if we are out enjoying the great weather, but they make for very unflattering photographs. As a professional photographer, it is our job to make certain everyone and everything in the picture looks its best.

Golden Hour
This is possibly the most basic trick used by professionals. Golden hour is the time right before the sun comes up and directly after it goes down. This lighting guarantees that you will not have to deal with any direct sunlight.

Shade
Even in the middle of the day, it is possible to get good pictures. A large shaded area, such as under a big tree, can provide excellent lighting. It is best to have the brightest areas in the background, so the light is evenly distributed.

Reflectors
Reflectors are great for redirecting the natural light. If the sun is going down, you can reflect the last few rays of daylight, or you can block some of the harsh light sneaking through tree branches.

No matter where you are, it is possible to find lighting that will work for you. If you have questions about outdoor family portraits or event photography, contact Aris Affairs Photography today. For information call 928-642-4049 or visit us online http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, shares why you should have professional maternity photos

Aris Affairs Photography - Maternity photos in Prescott
Many pregnant women have recently been hiring professional photographers for a photo session during the last couple of months of pregnancy. Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, explains why it is a good idea to have a professional photographer take your maternity photos.

People have become very creative in the 21st century. When you are getting ready to have your baby, one of the things you should add to your “to do” list is to get maternity photos taken. Here are some reasons why:
  • Capture the sense of anticipation. Pregnancy is such an exciting time, but as the years pass, you might forget the thrill of what it felt like to be expecting. Those emotions should be captured! You will be glad you did.
  • Freeze that moment in time. With a new baby many changes will be introduced to your life experience. So, since things will never be the same, capture the “right here and now.” It's probably been a while since you had any family photos taken. What an opportunity to get images of life before everything changes - and capture the special times afterwards as well!
  • Celebrate. Your pregnancy is a special time. A professional photography session will help you celebrate and make you feel beautiful. Pictures standing sideways and from different angles using different backgrounds will help you to cherish the celebration.
  • Reminisce as a couple. How did you two meet each other? As you reminisce about that, some of the best images will be captured. Pregnancy is a time to look back on the wonderful experiences that led you to become a family. Photographs will honor the institution of family whether it is your first or sixth baby.

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, would love to take your maternity photos. Before the time gets close to your last two months of pregnancy, call Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049 to discuss your photo session. Aris Affairs Photography discusses how to choose a photographer for your Prescott wedding

Aris Affairs Photography can capture the precious memories of your Prescott wedding.
Maybe you have been planning your wedding since you were little, or maybe you started last week. No matter how long it has been, you know there are hundreds of details to consider both big and small. It may not feel like it now, but one of the most significant decisions you will make is what photographer you choose. You will not get the opportunity to do your wedding day over, and it takes the right photographer to capture the unique moments, the mood, and the beauty of this special day. Aris Affairs Photography wants to educate you on what to look for when researching a photographer for your Prescott wedding.

They Care About You
When it comes to wedding photographers, price is not the only thing that matters. Some photographers will spend a lot of time telling you how they work, and they will put a heavy focus on their policies. You want someone that understands you and cares about your special day. They will work hard to make things run smoothly for you.

They Understand Your Personality
You may want your wedding to feel absolutely perfect with everything and everyone in its place, or maybe you want to capture the energy and excitement of the day. The right photographer will capture these feelings in the candid shots, and they convey this personality and emotion in the posed shots. We recommend making the posed shots as much fun as possible to keep family members engaged and smiling.

They Are Good At What They Do
Of course, you want a great photographer, but a great nature photographer has a different skill set than a great wedding photographer. Review their work to make sure they take beautiful wedding photos, and you like their style. One thing you hear about all too often are the friends and family members who were hired to take pictures, and the pictures turned out poorly. This is a terrible disappointment that can be easily avoided. Hire a professional - your wedding day is worth it!

You will not get a second chance to capture this day and these moments. This is your special day, and you want to capture the feelings and emotions to remember for the rest of your life. Take your time choosing the right photographer for your wedding to make sure they are the right fit. If you are getting married in Prescott, call Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049 or visit us online at http://www.arisaffairs.com to learn how we can make your wedding a day to remember.

Aris Affairs Photography, family Photographer in Prescott, describes the best newborn photo sessions

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can expertly capture in photos the precious first days of your newborn's life.
When is the best time, and how is the best way to get great photos of newborns? Aris Affairs Photography, family Photographer in Prescott, discusses the best newborn photo sessions.

When it comes to inquiries about our newborn sessions, we suggest you schedule a shoot before the baby is 12 days old. Couples usually ask us why, and we completely understand, but we assure you, we have important reasons for doing so.

Safety first
When newborns are awake and moving muscles, it is not safe to pose them in many of the newborn poses that make your photos precious. To get those special and unique shots, your baby needs to be still and sleeping.

Day five is a perfect day.
Your baby is still used to being in the womb and will not mind while we’re curling them into those cute and lovely poses. They’ll be calmly sleeping while we carefully put your baby into mom or dad’s arms or onto our blankets.

As newborns get older, they get used to being out of the womb, and they will often wake up when being moved around. The shoot may then be more uncomfortable and strained from all the different poses we’ll be doing during the photo shoot.

After about two weeks, babies begin to move their muscles but lack control of movement. The pushing, twisting and stretching does not lend itself toward a cute photograph. Watching your baby explore movement can be wonderful, but it is usually not camera friendly. The movements will often be awkward, resulting in less than ideal photographs.

If you pass the 12 to 14 day window, it may be best to wait until babies are around four months old and are able to easily lift their heads and smile while lying on their bellies. Ideally a session within the first 12 days followed by another session several months later is the way to go!

Aris Affairs Photography, family Photographer in Prescott, hopes these tips for the best newborn photo sessions is helpful to you. As the time draws near for your baby to be born, call Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049 to discuss your photo session. Visit our gallery and learn more at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography talks about posing for your engagement photos in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, can artistically capture engagement photos that you will be proud to share.

An engagement photo session is a sweet way to introduce the path to your wedding. Aris Affairs Photography offers tips to help soon-to-be-brides be camera-ready and perfectly comfortable for your engagement photo shoot in Prescott.

Your shoulders: As you are posing for a still photograph, deliberately lower your shoulders slightly. When people are not relaxed they are often unaware that they've unconsciously raised their shoulders. Dropping your shoulders slightly will result in you looking much more relaxed.

Position your head: By practicing in a mirror at home beforehand, notice which position of your head brings out your best features and minimizes those areas that are not your favorite. Is your down-cast head reminiscent of Princess Diana or did it just give birth to a double-chin? Most of us do have a 'best side'. Find your best side and turn that side slightly toward the camera.

Arch your back: Even a slight slouch can add years to your look. Slouching, whether in pictures or real life, does nothing for our appearance, so you do not want to be caught slouching for your engagement shoot. To avoid slouching, strive to arch your back slightly throughout the session. Not only will it be age-reducing but you'll appear tall, poised and confident.

Your arms: First of all, relax. When people are nervous, we tend to keep our arms very close to our body and that does not generally translate well in a picture. Practice holding your arms away from your body by at least six inches.

Your smile: Above all, practice a natural smile or a relaxed laugh. It might feel like a completely contrived pose, but on camera there's nothing better than a relaxed, smiling expression.
Remember to have fun!!

Aris Affairs Photography hopes these tips will help you create engagement photos that you will be proud to share. If you and your fiance are preparing for your upcoming Prescott wedding, call Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049 to book your engagement photo session. Aris Affairs Photography offers tips for your multi-generation family photo session in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can create heirloom multi-generation family photos to capture your memories.
Multi-generation family photos are a wonderful way to capture a very special moment. They are a unique way to view the passage of time in your family, as well as an opportunity to create a memory with children and their grandparents or great-grandparents. These photos often become a cherished keepsake that passes down through your family for generations. Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, wants to share with you some of our favorite ideas for these treasured photo sessions.

Choose an Activity

Finding a favorite activity that the whole family shares, such as fishing or hiking, can be a way of incorporating storytelling into your pictures. Anything that the grandkids and grandparents share will give the children something to look back on and remember when they are older.

Activities are a great way to keep everyone engaged and create candid photos that capture your family in their best moments. This is especially true of the little ones who lose interest in standing or sitting in one place for extended periods.

Don’t Forget the Little Things
While posing for a picture may be the best way to get the whole family in one shot, it is not usually the best way to capture the depth of emotion and love that everyone feels for each other. Be sure to take photos that pick up on the little things like holding hands, laughing, or out-takes. These little things are the essence that is unique to your family.

Multi-generational portraits are all about creating memories that tell the story of your family. They will be shared and held dear long after loved ones have passed on. Remember to have fun with them and be yourself. If you are in search of a photographer for your next family photo session in Prescott, contact Aris Affairs Photography at 928-642-4049 or visit us online http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, shares why photographs matter

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can create stunning family photos that will be a legacy for the next generation.
Have you ever stumbled onto an old photograph to find that it triggered memories and details long forgotten? Do photographs of your newborns rekindle those days for you despite the decades that have passed? Prescott family photographer, Aris Affairs Photography, illuminates some of the reasons that photographs matter so much to us.

Our photographs define us

“Our photographs” is one of the most common answers when people are asked what would they rescue from their burning home, if they had time and everyone, both human and animal, were safe. Notice that pictures are more likely to be grabbed before other valuables like jewelry. It seems pictures have a great hold on us. When we are faced with losing everything, it is our pictures, our history, our precious memories that we strive to protect and preserve. Birthdays, holidays, family, new homes, marriages and babies are recorded because they matter; because they're important. They define us. They provide a timeline, the story of our lives.

Photographs are a part of the legacy we leave
It probably doesn't occur to most that as a picture is taken, it will probably outlast everyone - from the one who took it to whoever is being photographed. A generation or two may pass as someone is shuffling through some old papers when they stumble across a stack of photographs. They find the never-before seen image of their once-young grandparents or mom and dad. There they may discover a photo of the house where they were born or someone's first car. Photographs which may have little importance or significance at the time they're taken can be a priceless treasure years later as they reveal someone’s legacy.

Photographs allow us to communicate
How many pictures do you upload to Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook? They communicate our interests, our loves, our priorities. They communicate what we think is beautiful and interesting. They communicate our creative genius. They are more than a record. They communicate our life.

Photographs tell our story, leave a legacy and communicate our best self to others. Prescott family photographer, Aris Affairs Photography, can help you accomplish all three. If you have an important event coming up, a special day or just want a record of your beautiful life today, call us at 928-642-4049. Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, shares tips on photographing newborns with their siblings

Aris Affairs Photography, family photographer in Prescott, can capture your growing family with newborn/sibling photos.Photographing your newborn baby with their brand new big brother(s) or sister(s) for a photoshoot may come with a few challenges. Aris Affairs Photography offers some tips that can really help make your Prescott photo shoot enjoyable for everyone.

A key factor in getting siblings to cooperate in your newborn/sibling session is to give them choices. Since beautiful, natural and non-posed images are often the most treasured, siblings who feel forced to do anything may respond by doing the exact opposite of what you want them to do.
Most siblings are more cooperative at the beginning of the shoot, so that's a great time to get their shots done. By photographing them first, you may be circumventing any jealousy issues over the new baby.

Timing

If a sibling isn't quite up for it, it's okay to let them go into another area and come back when they're ready. In the meantime, your photographer can take pictures of the other siblings, your newborn and even mom and dad. You might find that the attention given to the other siblings will draw the reluctant one back to the action. Pressuring a child to return might get them back but their resentment may very well find its way into your pictures, which no one wants. Having a conversation with them prior to the shoot and showing them how much it means to you to include them can go a long way toward preparing them for the event.

Don’t forget safety

Here are a few ways to keep everyone safe:

  • With mom and dad on the sofa or bed, they can remain out of frame and still watch out for the baby’s safety.
  • Include mom and dad in the pictures with the younger siblings and toddlers.
  • Take advantage of the older, stronger siblings who can safely hold the baby while mom and dad are watching out for the toddlers.
  • Swaddle the baby for extra protection and make him or her a little easier to hold.
  • Include pillows to pose your baby while the rest of the siblings gather themselves around him or her.

That’s it! A little preparation, a little safety, a newborn, some siblings and mom and dad - and beautiful photos at the end of it all! Are you ready to book a newborn/sibling session? Call Prescott family photographer, Aris Affairs Photography today to schedule your appointment at 928-642-4049. There are many magical moments at a wedding: when the groom sees his bride coming down the aisle, lighting of a unity candle, even the antics of a young ring bearer, or a flower girl dropping petals and picking them up again. Then comes the reception and more precious moments, namely the heartfelt toasts to the happy couple. Aris Affairs Photography can capture those magic moments at your Prescott wedding reception.

Some of the most eloquent toasts are emotional and sentimental, including those given by siblings or a parent. The purpose of the wedding toast is obviously to honor the newlyweds and wish them all good things for their marriage. But for those who are giving a toast, it can be a little uncomfortable. It’s a good idea to coach the best man or maid of honor and let them know how much you appreciate them being part of your big day.

The order of things
As tradition dictates, the best man is often the master of ceremonies, unless you have a DJ who is handling that duty. The order of toasting goes something like this:

  • The best man toasts the bride
  • The maid/matron of honor toasts the groom
  • The father of the bride or someone in that position toasts the couple
  • Any other parents of bride and groom toast the couple
  • Last but not least, the bride and groom offer a toast to family and friends

This is only a suggestion and the newlyweds ultimately have the final decision as to who gets the microphone. But it’s a good idea to give the prospective “toasters” enough advance notice so they can collect their thoughts or funny stories that they would like to share.

A wedding day is unlike any other day, and a wedding toast lasts only a few moments. Aris Affairs Photography wants to capture those moments for you in pictures. If you are planning your Prescott wedding, contact Aris Affairs Photography and let us turn life into art for you. Aris Affairs Photography, professional wedding photographer in Prescott, talks about photos of the bride getting ready

Aris Affairs Photography can capture the precious moments before the bride's entrance at your Prescott wedding.
Capturing the images of a bride before she makes her way to her groom can be among the most intimate moments of the day. Prescott professional wedding photographer, Aris Affairs Photography, loves having that special bonding time with the bride, her bridesmaids, and treasured mom in order to preserve every precious scene.

Getting ready special moments to include:
  • The finishing touches on the bride's hair. After all, no one wants to see pictures of the curling iron and hair spray.
  • The finishing touches on her makeup. Shots of blush and lipstick being applied are sweet. Photos of concealer to remove under eye circles are not.
  • Photos of her beautiful gown hanging nearby. A beautiful gown is an inanimate object until the bride brings it to life when she slips it on. Be prepared for tears.
  • Capture each step as her dress is buttoned or laced together, a sash or jeweled belt wrapped around her waist, and the tender shots of her bridesmaids fussing over every detail to make sure her gown is perfect.
  • Don't forget to get photos of her shoes and accessories. Often, jewelry is more than just an accessory. It might be a gift from the groom or a treasured family heirloom, so photos of jewelry are especially important as she chooses each piece to put on.
  • Photos of the bride putting on her headpiece, tiara, or veil are the final touches as she makes herself completely ready to be escorted to the ceremony.

Aris Affairs Photography thoughtfully captures every moment of the bride and groom's happy day and hopes that these suggestions for pictures of the bride getting ready and all the other shots including candid photos, details of the room, the wedding party, and the ceremony will give you sweet memories for years to come. If you're planning a Prescott wedding and looking for a professional wedding photographer call the photography experts at Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049. Aris Affairs Photography shares tips for the groom on your wedding day in Prescott

Aris Affairs Photography can capture the precious moments of your Prescott wedding for memories to last a lifetime.
Let the groom’s personality shine with a special photo shoot for stunning wedding photos. Aris Affairs Photography, professional wedding photographer in Prescott, suggests these photo tips for the groom on your wedding day.

Let’s begin with photos of the groom getting ready for the wedding ceremony. Such photos are important, because they will help you in the future to relive every moment of your wedding experience.

  • Sometimes the groom will get ready alone. This can provide for great photos which reflect his emotions about the day.
  • Often though, the groom will get ready together with his best man. This opens the door to lots of fun moments to capture!
  • Aris Affairs Photography recommends taking photos of the groom getting ready right up through the last minutes of his preparations.
  • Male wedding attire is not always easy to put on, so having someone to help makes the process much easier. The groom may need help pinning on a boutonniere, adjusting his bow-tie, or inserting cufflinks. Remember, he’ll probably be lost in his own world!

Once the groom is ready, it’s a common tradition to have a toast. This offers another opportunity for great photos. Bring a bottle of something special to prepare for this! Suitable, matching glasses or tumblers for everyone will make the photos even better. Not only is having a toast a fun experience; a good shot will help settle that nervousness, too!

Aris Affairs Photography hopes these tips for wedding day photos of the groom inspire you and make your Prescott wedding photographs complete. To schedule a photo session with a professional engagement and wedding photographer, give Aris Affairs Photography a call today at 928-642-4049. Aris Affairs Photography can create stellar engagement photos with a western theme in Prescott.
Planning your engagement photo shoot in Prescott? You don’t have to wear solid colors and uninteresting clothes. These pictures should express who you are as a couple. Mix things up with a theme, and in Prescott, Western wear is a very appropriate choice. Aris Affairs Photography suggests a creative cowgirl theme for your engagement photos.

Blue Skirts and Frock
Denim is essential for a Western look. Pair a skirt in denim with brown cowgirl boots and a white frock for an adorable outfit. Look for pieces with embellished tribal accents to really channel a wild spirit.

Cowgirl Hat
An iconic cowgirl hat pairs nicely with a plaid shirt and jeans. Pick a suede material for the colder seasons and a straw material for a summer look. Check around for a hat that fits your style.

Accessories
Bling is the icing on the cake! Find chunky necklaces with horseshoe accents and leather tassels. Add a belt with turquoise and metal studded accents for an extra flair. Also, dangle earrings can be a small addition to make your eyes pop.

Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott wedding photographer, offers suggestions for bridal photos

Aris Affairs Photography can capture your Prescott wedding photos and turn your special day into beautiful memories.
Your ideal Prescott wedding photo shoot will no doubt begin with photos of you, the beautiful bride. To help every bride look her very best on a day that's often full of overflowing energy and bustling activities, Aris Affairs Photography offers these professional tips for beautiful photos.

Picture Scenes and Poses

Well before your wedding day, begin to prepare for your bridal photo shoot with a list of the settings and poses you'd like captured. Here are some classic bridal settings and poses to consider:
  • Putting your gown on
  • Gazing into a mirror
  • Having your hair and makeup done
  • Slipping on your garter
  • Adjusting your veil
  • Focusing on your special accessories like a treasured family heirloom, or vintage jewelry piece
  • Looking at a photo of your fiance
  • Rehearse the shoot

Rehearse, especially if you're photo-shy. Use a mirror to help you practice the poses you have in mind. Practice your glances, your gazes, your smile and your posture. Practice sitting, posing your hands and tilting your head. Ask your maid of honor or mom to help you by offering their gentle opinions and insight. Find your best side and your best angles so that you can position yourself to look your best in every picture.

In front of the camera

Face and Neck - Using a mirror, practice positions and angles to discover the poses you like best. Posing with your face and neck slightly lifted is often flattering.

Shoot from Above - Few people look good in photos shot from below. Looking up to a camera is almost always better than looking down to one.

Avoid Head-On Poses - Turning your head slightly to one side as well as your body to create those model- thin angles will be far more flattering than a head-on pose. It's your wedding, not a passport picture.

Relax
Relaxation is the absolute key to beautiful wedding photos. The most treasured photos are always of clients who are relaxed and comfortable. If you're offering champagne at your wedding it might be helpful to have a sip...but to ensure beautiful photos, do not indulge.

Aris Affairs Photography hopes these tips for your Prescott bridal shoot inspire and prepare you to take beautiful, timeless bridal photos that you and your new husband can enjoy forever. If you're planning your wedding, call Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049. View our gallery and learn more at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography talks about wedding party photos for your Prescott wedding

Aris Affairs Photography can beautifully capture the memories of your Prescott wedding.
Does every niece, sister, sorority sister, and cousin want to be a bridesmaid at your wedding, but there are only three groomsmen attending? Don’t worry! This is an awesome opportunity to make your Prescott wedding interesting and fun. Aris Affairs Photography wants to give you some great tips to make your lopsided wedding party work for you.

The photos
Stagger the smaller group of either bridesmaids or groomsmen among the larger group. If you have more groomsmen than bridesmaids, divide the men up into small groups and then distribute a bridesmaid or two per group. The bridesmaids’ dresses can add a pop of color among darker suits.

The procession
Skip tradition a little bit! Instead of pairing up every bridesmaid with a groomsman, have two groomsmen walk one bridesmaid down the aisle. Vice-versa, if you have more bridesmaids than groomsmen, let the ladies walk in groups of 2-3 and have some groomsmen walk individually.

The ceremony
All eyes will be on you, the couple, so don’t worry if your wedding party isn’t even! The most important part of this moment is that all the special people in your life are standing by your side when you both say, “I do”. To deter attention from your party, you could have most of the attendants positioned at the altar before the ceremony begins.

Organizing your wedding party doesn’t have to be tricky! Use these tips to make sure your Prescott wedding is just what you imagined. You shouldn’t have to stress about anything on your big day. Trust expert wedding photographer Aris Affairs Photography to come up with some great ideas to capture your uneven wedding party beautifully. Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, suggests the best time to take newborn photos

Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, can capture your precious newborn in timeless photos.
Once your adorable newborn has arrived, you will want to take a million pictures of your precious new family member. As a mom, you know just how important it is to capture these moments: time flies! A professional photography session is a great way to capture these newborn memories forever. Aris Affairs Photography, professional family photographer in Prescott, has some recommendations on the best time to schedule a photo session for your little one.

Scheduling
Call the photographer to book an appointment two to three months before your due date to avoid future stress. This way you will not have another to-do item on your agenda while taking care of a newborn.

Appointment Date
Five to 12 days after giving birth will be the most ideal time to have a photo session. Your baby will be in the most adorable curly poses, like they are in the womb. Also, your baby will be very sleepy, which will be easier to adjust them into classic newborn poses.

Birth Announcement
Once your photography session is over, you can use your precious photos to create an adorable birth announcement for all your friends and family!

Aris Affairs Photography understands how important it is to capture photos of your newborn within the first two weeks. Aris Affairs Photography, Prescott family photographer, talks about what to wear for spring family portraits

Aris Affairs Photography can create beautiful art with your family portraits in Prescott.
“What should we wear?” is a question often asked when people are planning their photography session. Since wardrobe choices, fashion styles, and color trends are always changing and are such a large part of a portrait session, Prescott family photographer Aris Affairs Photography offers tips to looking your best in your spring family photos.

1. Choose Your Favorite Feel-Good Colors
Do you have a long-time favorite or do you feel your best wearing the latest trendy color? Whether you're a family of adults or you have a host of small children, looking good requires being happy and comfortable. That’s why when you're planning your photo session, it’s so important to choose colors you and your entire family feel great about. And even if people have different favorites, it's easy to do. Just follow Tips #2 and #3!

2. Choose Complementary Colors
Instead of dressing in a 'matchy-matchy' style, families tend to look their best by wearing outfits that go together rather than match. Different colors that complement one another create more interest and appeal. While you might be tempted to instruct everyone to dress in your favorite pastel, please don't. Opt instead for including colors in everyone's outfit that pair well together. A great way to incorporate complementary colors is by adding them in light layers or by adding accessories.

3. Incorporate Accent Colors
Layers and accessories are a perfect way of adding complementary colors but they can also elevate your wardrobe choices. A rather-plain neutral palette can be transformed into elegant simplicity with a bold accent color. Jewelry, scarves, shoes, hats and ties are all various ways you can thoughtfully accent your look.

4. Consider the final location
Do you already know where you want to hang your new family portrait? Consider if the color theme you're thinking of for your photo session will clash with the wall color in your den, library, or living room before you make your final selections. Try to visualize where you want to display your portrait before you make your color choices.

While you're planning your family photo session and considering all the color and style options available to you, don't forget that being comfortable, being yourself, and being happy brings out the best in everyone. If you're ready to schedule your spring family portrait, call Prescott family photographer, Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049. Aris Affairs Photography shares tips for great cake-cutting photos at your Prescott wedding

Aris Affairs Photography can capture the beauty of your Prescott wedding with professional wedding photography.
The wedding cake is an age-old tradition which symbolizes the first activity in which the newlyweds participate together. Aris Affairs Photography has some ideas for great cake-cutting photos at your Prescott wedding!

Since the wedding cake is the central focus of the reception dinner, it is an essential element of the wedding photography. There are numerous ways to assure great wedding cake photos:

  • Decorate the cake with a unique cake topper. Some couples prefer traditional miniatures Others opt for something trendy and different, sometimes showcasing their favorite sports or activities.

  • Cake Cutting 101. You may think, “What could be simpler than cutting a cake? Ask your cake baker or caterer if there are any important instructions on where to make the first cut. You wouldn't want to slice in a place that could cause the cake to come tumbling down. Your baker will likely advise you to cut from the bottom tier.

  • To smash or not to smash? The newlyweds usually feed each other the first slice, symbolizing their care and provision for each other. Old tradition has often been replaced by a more recent one: smashing the cake into the faces of each other. But don’t smash just because you think your guests expect it. Do what you want to do. Plan for it like you will plan for many things: as a couple.

  • The cake cutting photos. Before the celebration, make specific plans with your photographer. Do you want a traditional posed shot with you cutting the cake together, or a less formal and more spontaneous photo? Would you like a close-up of both of your hands on the knife or just the big picture? Are you only interested in the big picture? Plan with your photographer to capture the just right photos.

Local Prescott wedding photographer Aris Affairs Photography hopes this discussion of wedding cake photos for your Prescott wedding will give you some helpful creative ideas. Aris Affairs Photography knows how important your special wedding day is. Let us turn your cake-cutting photos into memories you will cherish. Aris Affairs Photography, local Prescott family photographer, offers tips on where to take engagement photos

Aris Affairs Photography, local wedding photographer in Prescott, can capture your special day and create artistic wedding photos.
Unlike many wedding shoots that are traditionally very posed and more formal, engagement sessions offer couples more variety, opportunity, and fun. Prescott family photographer Aris Affairs Photography offers these helpful hints in making your engagement photo shoot a treasured memory.

Make it a day
Make your engagement photo session a part of a beautifully full day focused on you and your beloved. Rather than sandwiching a session somewhere between errands and obligations, devote the entire day to your engagement. Consider beginning your day together with an intimate brunch at your favorite restaurant. Your photographer could even meet you there to snap a few cute shots before moving to your primary location.

Set the real scene
Location, location, location doesn't just apply to real estate. Your engagement photos should reflect you as a couple. Before you think about heading out to your local park or historic hotel lobby, think about the locations that truly reflect your interests. Do you binge watch cooking shows, then test your talents in the kitchen? Do you flex your collective muscles hiking and biking Prescott's amazing trails? Incorporate the interests that brought you together in the first place into your photo shoot.

Wait for the sun
There are better times of the day than others for taking outdoor photos and they all revolve around the sun. If you're looking for that golden, glorious light in your photos you're looking for the time of day just before sunset called the 'golden hour'. Photos taken mid-day may be more convenient but the day's earlier sun is often harsher because it's directly overhead. Both sunrise and sunset are optimum times for beautifully and naturally well-lit pictures.

If your Prescott wedding is on the horizon and you're ready to book an appointment for your engagement photos, call the photography experts at Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049. For more information, please visit http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography, professional photographer in Prescott, offers tips for scheduling engagement photos

Aris Affairs Photography is your professional wedding photographer in Prescott and can expertly capture your precious life events and turn them into art.
One great reason to take engagement photos is that it provides a great opportunity to work for the first time with the person who will be your wedding photographer. You can become familiar with their style and begin to feel at ease in front of their lens. What is the best way and time to schedule this? Aris Affairs Photography, local Prescott photographer, offers tips for scheduling engagement photos.

The best time to schedule your engagement photos depends primarily on how you plan to use them and when. You should make your plans around what works for you. Here are some options:

  • On the very first day or two of your engagement. In other words, get pictures taken of yourselves to commemorate the moment you get engaged - you'll already be wearing a naturally happy smile! Capture the spontaneity!
  • During the first weeks or month. If you plan to submit a formal engagement announcement with a photo to your local paper, set up a photo shoot early in your engagement. Check your newspaper’s deadlines and requirements.
  • At about the same time that you set the wedding date. Get photos taken for your wedding website and incorporate photos of yourselves into the website design.
  • About three months before the wedding. This can be great timing for your newspaper wedding announcement. Larger newspapers request that they receive wedding submissions up to six weeks before the event. This gives you enough time before that deadline to see your proofs and make prints.
  • About one month before the wedding. If you would like your radiant faces on the wedding program or favors, one month will usually give you plenty of time to see proofs, select your favorites and choose what you would like to get printed.

Aris Affairs Photography, your local Prescott wedding photographer, offers these helpful ideas for the best time to schedule your engagement photos. We specialize in making sure you are both having a great time that will result in capturing unforgettably beautiful memories. Call Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049 to schedule your engagement photo shoot. For more information and to see our gallery, visit us at http://www.arisaffairs.com.

Aris Affairs Photography, your local Prescott family photographer, suggests poses for your family photo

Let Aris Affairs Photography capture the precious moments of your growing family with professional photographs in Prescott.
A professional family photo is a great way to beautifully capture precious moments with your loved ones. Among the many aspects of professional photos to consider such as dress and location is posing. Aris Affairs Photography offers Prescott families some easy posing tips to get the best photos.

Before the Shoot
Discomfort usually has a way of showing up in the pictures so it is important to make everyone's comfort a priority. Candid photos are fun but did you know that posing for professional photos can be fun, too? Posing doesn't come easily for many of us so having some poses in mind can make all the difference.

Goofing Around
Goofing around offers you the best of both worlds. While parents, grandparents or older siblings are casually posed on the floor, the toddlers and younger ones can engage them in any number of activities including crawling over them, under their legs, sitting in their laps or being engulfed by a group hug and kisses. Having fun with your family in a professional studio setting is also a great way to get comfortable in front of a camera...maybe so comfortable that you forget where you are.

Formal poses
More 'formal' poses might include gathering the family in any number of arrangements including from tallest to shortest, boys and girls together (including mom and dad), or oldest to youngest or mix it up any way that makes the best shots. It's important to be close to one another and united by touch. Any noticeable gaps between members of the family can appear to imply distance.

No matter what poses you decide upon, the family photography experts in Prescott, Aris Affairs Photography, will give you plenty of helpful hints and flexibility. Making sure your family is having a great time that will result in unforgettably beautiful memories of your best-loved is what we do best. Time is precious. Call Aris Affairs Photography today at 928-642-4049 to schedule your family's photo shoot. For more information and to see our gallery, visit us at http://www.arisaffairs.com.
